Ice Cream & Milk

I get so thirsty when I eat Ice Cream and people tell me that drinking milk with my Ice Cream is weird. Tell me what you think. You can leave me a comment or vote off to the right.

Chocolate Bunt Cake

So a couple people have asked me for the recipe for this bunt cake I made for Father's Day. I have to give credit to Lindsay for finding this recipe, first of all, then making the mistake of adding cream cheese instead of sour cream and making it that much better. So here is the recipe...


Cake
1 Package Betty Crocker Super Moist Butter Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 Cup Chocolate Milk
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
3 Eggs
1 Pkg. Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding
1 Bag Semi Chocolate chips (set 1 Cup aside for glaze)
16 oz cream cheese

Pour into a Bunt Pan & Bake at 350 for 55-65 minutes. Cool for 2 hours before removing from pan.

Glaze
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp Butter
3 Tbsp Light Corn Syrup
1 1/2 tsp water

Melt all ingredients together and drizzle over cake. Top off with mini Chocolate Chips and enjoy.

*You can replace the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips for a different variety.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today was my Dad's Birthday. We all went in and bought him some tools he had been wanting. Lee was enjoying "helping" dad with them.

Hot Air Balloons

I saw these balloons this morning. This is a common site in the summer time. It always reminds me of when I was younger we would go to the Freedom Festival for the 4th of July to look at all the balloons launch and they would be scattered throughout the sky.

Our Little Helpers

Our neighbors came over the other day and helped us with our stone work in the yard. Bryson helped Lee with the dirt while Saedree helped me with the moss. They are such cute kids and I'm so glad we have them and their parents as friends. Thanks for everything guys!

This is Lee's dad. He passed away on November 16th 2005. This picture was taken just a couple weeks before he passed away. He was a loving man and I wish I had the opportunity to have gotten to know him better. I'm grateful for the time that I did share with him.

This is the last time Lee and I saw his dad. It was on February 8th, 2003. It was such a special day because that is the day we were sealed in the Detroit Temple. Lee's dad officiated the session and Lee and I were the witness couple. We were so blessed to also have my parents fly out with us for this special day. It is a day we will never forget and I'm so glad we have such a fond memory of our last moments with Lee's dad. We love him and miss him dearly.

Here is Lee and my dad Jeepin. I'm so grateful that Lee and my dad have such a great relationship. My dad raised four girls and now he finally has some sons to do guy stuff with.

Party time!

Brent's sister in law Melissa was in town with her daughters Hailey and Melanie, to watch his brother Stefan's kids while he and his wife were on an Alaskan Cruise. I am so jealous! Anyway, we had them all over for a BBQ and of course I had to take pictures.

With all the yard work we have been doing, Syd and Maggie have been bringing a lot of mud into the house. I have to say....Buying a carpet shampooer has been the best investment!

Gotta love yard work

Lee and I have been working hard out in the yard laying a rock path where the dogs run. I'll be honest....Lee has worked harder than me and is doing an excellent job. Once all the moss grows in, it should look really nice and I'm really excited about it.
