This is my nephew AJ and his prom date Rilee. He asked me to take some pictures for him, and me being the awesome aunt that I am, I said yes :) You can see some more on my photo blog here.

Welcome to Home Depot, May I help you?
A couple weeks ago we found out that Lee's job at the school library was only a temporary position and he would be out of work again shortly. We were both a little worried about that, because he has applied at so many places with no luck. Well our prayers were finally answered and he got a job at Home Depot! It is a perfect fit for him right now because they are willing to work with his school schedule. What a blessing and a relief!

Life is a Test
I'm at a dead end. Do I go left, or right? Right now I feel like my life is a parked car not knowing where to go and I have no control over any of it.
The for sale sign went up at Grandpa's house yesterday, which made me very sad. Lee's last day at work is coming up, and we are praying these job interviews coming up pay off. Things are happening all around us and our future of where Lee will work and where we are going to live is in someone else's hands. That is a little nerve wracking for me. We have dealt with multiple trials over the last couple years, and I feel selfish thinking that it's my turn for something good to happen.
I'll admit first hand that the trials we have been faced with have made us stronger. That's the purpose of going through trials, so we can be tested and strengthened. The Lord knows me a whole lot better than I know myself, which is maybe why I am going through some of these things. So I can learn something about myself and know that I am strong enough to endure the challenges life throws at me. He has so much faith in me. I pray that I can return that favor and have the same faith in Him even if I don't understand why things are not happening the way I want right now.
I came across this quote that says.
"Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, and Today is a Gift. That is why we call it the Present."
I don't know what tomorrow holds, so all I can do is take care of what needs to be done today, and make it a good day. To plan for the future the best I can and accept that things don't always go according to plan. We can make all the plans we want for our lives, but if it doesn't fit in with God's plan, we need to accept that and trust that He knows what He is doing. I just need to hold up my end of the bargain and everything will work out accordingly. When I am old looking back on my life, I will then be able to see more clearly why I went through these trials, and I will be thankful for all of them.
