Get off your Phone and Pay Attention!
I got hit by a car on my way home today. I was stopped at a 4-way stop and went when it was my turn. This girl blew through the stop sign and scraped along my front bumper. She would have t-boned me had I not slammed on my brakes.
The worst part of this story is the fact that she didn't turn around. I got out of my car and I saw that she had stopped. She got out of her car to check out if there was damage. I was waving my arms and yelling, but she got back in then she pulled away and drove off. I whipped out my cell phone and got a picture but she was to far away to get a license plate. I proceeded to call the police. A nice women pulled up and had seen everything and even got the license plate. She stayed to give her witness report to the police. While I was on the phone with the operator, I saw 2 police cars speed up the street in the direction she was going. Well, a little bit later, after an officer arrived at the scene, the girl went through the intersection going the opposite way. The witness told the cop it was her so he rushed to his car to pull her over. She was telling them so many lies! She told the cop that she saw me but thought that I was waving to let her know I was OK. Her sister actually came to the scene to get a picture of my car for evidence and asking the cop how he knew she was guilty. He just told her that there were 2 witnesses and the fact that my car was scratched in a way that it was proved my car was not moving and another car drove by. She also told the cop that her sister didn't stop when she drove back by because she thought the cop had just pulled somebody over. Another officer that was handling the girl that hit me came up to give me some information and he stated that he was told that her mom was on the phone with her, yet her sister claimed she was on the phone with her. Get your stories straight people! The cop warned me she was fighting it and this thing might go to court. Both cops said I had nothing to worry about because of all the supporting evidence pointing in my favor. I just don't understand some people. If you hit somebody, then pull over! It's going to hurt you in the long run for leaving the scene of an accident.

Something to Ponder
Lately I have found myself thinking about what my life might be like if I never have the opportunity to have children. I think of places Lee and I can travel to, things we can do, and the dream car that I have always wanted. I wouldn't need to save for a future mission or college education. I wouldn't need to worry about them making the wrong decisions and hoping I raised them the right way.
As I think about all those things, it still makes me sad. I don't care if I ever get my dream car, or go on that fancy vacation. I really want to be a Mom and I'm not ready to give up on that dream. I have evaluated my life and I have changed the things that I have been slacking on. I have humbled myself and admitted to my mistakes which have brought me to my knees in prayer asking for forgiveness. I have asked The Lord to help make me a stronger person to accept what He has in store for me. I don't know what that is yet, but no matter what it is, I pray that I can accept it. Even if it's not what I want.
We are given every trial for a purpose. This particular trial is an on going one, and one I will struggle with my whole life if I never have a child. I have learned so much so far and I hope I have made the Lord and my family proud. I hope I can continue to learn and grow as a result of this trial and look back on how I handled it with pride. Life is to short to worry about things I cannot change, So here's to a bright future no matter what it holds.

Minky Denim Quilt
I made this denim quilt this weekend. I think it turned out really cute. I used minky fabric which is so soft and comfy. I got it done just in time to go to my nephews football games so I can stay warm.
