I have been really frustrated and disappointed over our adoption situation. It's a hard trial to go through, but I realize that the Lord has a plan for me and I need to be patient while he puts that plan in place. That is definitely easier said than done, but I need to stay positive and remember all the blessings I have and not focus on what I don't have. With that being said, here is a list of some things I am thankful for.
1.
My husband ~ He is the best partner I could ever ask for. He is so supportive of my dreams and strives to make them all come true.
2.
My parents ~ They are the best parents in the world!
3.
My sisters ~ I have a great relationship with them and I love them so much!
4.
My brother-in-laws ~ I never had brothers growing up, and I'm so thankful to now have brothers who love me and watch out for me.
5.
My sister-in-laws ~ They have accepted me like a real sister into their family.
6.
All of my nieces and nephews ~ I love watching them grow up and being a part of their lives. I wish more of them lived closer.
7.
My friends ~ I have wonderful friends. We may not see each other a lot, but I love how we can pick up where we left off when we do see each other.
8.
The Gospel ~ I'm so thankful for the gospel in my life and the blessings it brings to my life.
9.
My dogs ~ Since we don't have kids, they have filled that void in our lives. Even though Kota still has accidents and Syd shreds our bedspreads, I love them so much. I also love and miss Maggie every day and am so thankful for the time I did have with her.
10.
My job ~ Even though it's hard to get out of bed and go to work sometimes, I am grateful to have my job.
11.
Lee's Education ~ Who knew that Lee losing his job would be a good thing? He is enjoying school so much, and we will have a better future because of it.
12.
My Grandparents ~ I am so thankful to be able to have a good relationship with my Grandparents. I love them so much and it will be hard to see them go.
13.
My health ~ Working in a hospital, I see so many people less fortunate than myself with health issues. I am thankful I am healthy and able to do so many things.
14.
Utah ~ I love the fact that I was born and raised in such a beautiful place. I love the mountains and the many other beautiful places around the state.
I could go on and on about all the things I am thankful for but that would take days. I am so fortunate in my life to have so many blessings and to be surrounded by so many wonderful people.
