Lee got a new job!....in Wyoming. He will be driving a water tanker truck at the Oil Wells in Gillette Wyoming, also known as Fracking. He will work midnights, 6 days a week for 5 weeks, then off for a week. He will come home for his week off. The job supplies him with an apartment and covers utilities so we won't have to worry about his cost of living there. He will be working with 2 of his really good friends, Ed and Brent, which will really help him out while being away from home.
As of right now, I will be staying here, keeping my job for insurance purposes, and we will re-evaluate in a year or so where we are at, if he likes the job enough to stay for longer than a couple years. If so then we will sell our house and I will move to Wyoming with him.
This is such a good opportunity for us, and it happen to fall in our laps at the perfect time. Lee has not been happy at his current job. He is overworked and under payed. The COO just got fired and the company is going downhill. Brent approached Lee with the opportunity and had his boss contact Lee. What Lee thought was a phone interview, was quite the opposite. He told Lee that the job was his, and how soon could he start. We talked it over, and despite the fact that he will have to be gone 5 weeks at a time, we felt it was the right decision to take the job. We are excited about this opportunity, and very thankful for it. It will definitely be an adventure.
