A New Beginning

Trials are hard. We all go through them. I like to think that I have come through my trials a stronger person. I know for a fact that I have come to appreciate the little things, and that no matter what, my family has my back. We couldn't have survived the last 4 years without them.

Since June 2009, we have experienced a Job loss, selling our house, moving in with my Grandpa, our adoption profile being put on hold and eventually cancelled, a Miscarriage, a second failed IVF procedure, my Grandma  passing, my Grandpa passing, Lee's Mom passing, having to move in with my parents, and to top it all off, our Great Dane Syd passing this past December. It's definitely been a roller coaster ride for us, but that's life isn't it?

And here we are now. Lee got his Bachelors Degree last year and is currently working on his Masters. And he has gotten a full time job! No more 3:00 AM shifts at Home Depot. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. Would I change anything about these last few years? Going through it, yes! But now that we have made it through, no. Oh, and we are building a home! It's a townhouse in Saratoga Springs. We started out not wanting a townhouse, but these are beautiful and nothing like other townhomes I've seen before. It's big and open, has a 2 car garage, a full basement and plenty of room for us. Yes, it's another starter home, but hey, in a sense we are starting all over. We have a fresh start with Lee's new job, and his education. Everything has been falling into place and I am so happy about the direction we are heading.
