Lee & Kindra: Thanks Ali & Kolby!

Thanks Ali & Kolby!

I just have to give a shout out to my sister Alison and her husband Kolby. A couple months ago I was stressing about how to come up with money for our adoption. My mom came up with the idea of doing a garage sale. Everyone would donate things to sale and help raise money for our adoption fund. It never went further than an idea, even though I have so many things I could and probably should get rid of. Nothing was ever done, and I haven't given it a second thought about it until I talked to Alison today. I called her to thank her for the birthday card she had sent me. She apologized because she had forgotten to put something in the card. She went on to tell me how her and Kolby spent 2 days getting things together for a garage sale and was disappointed when they only made $50. She apologized to me because it wasn't as much as they had hoped to get, but would send the money anyway, with the thought that every little bit would help. I am so grateful to them for the time they spent doing that for us. I wouldn't even care if it was $5 because the gesture alone is so amazing to me and I can't thank them enough. What a generous act of love! When I hung up from talking to her, tears came to my eyes. I am so blessed to have such an amazing family! Ali & Kolby, I will forever be grateful to you for what you have done. It really means the world to Lee and I, and that $50 feels like it's worth a million because of the love and sacrifice behind it. Thank you!

that is awesome to have such a loving and supportive family. I do think a big garage sale is a good idea. We could definately help out, so let us know of a date! See you at the softball game tonight, and go Penguins! :)

I have a bunch of crap but I don't think that I could get it there to Utah for a garage sale. Sorry that we live far away now or else I would join the garage sale.

Yes we can still be friends even though the Red Wings won. I'm not that big of a Penguins fan, it's more Scott. But if it wasn't the Penguins, I would have wanted the Red Wings anyway. I'm sure Lee is on cloud 9. haha
